About Me

Karmela Jones, Counsellor and Psychotherapist

As a qualified, fully insured counsellor and psychotherapist, I offer brief counselling or medium to long-term therapy. I am an integrative therapist and work relationally, meaning we will use the therapeutic relationship as window of insight and understanding, implementing different tools and concepts that work for you. We will work together to find how I can best help you along your personal journey, whether that be making changes in your life, healing emotional wounds, or following any other path of self-discovery.

Whilst I earned a bachelor's in psychology in 2007, eventually leading to a post-graduate diploma and career in counselling and psychotherapy, like most people my road has been neither smooth nor straightforward. I highly value my training and education for giving me knowledge and skills whilst I also draw on my own background of failures and successes, hardship and perseverance, which give me empathy and insight into what others may be going through. I will never pretend to know what it's like to be you, but I do know what it's like to need to be heard and understood, and how difficult it can be to ask for help. I will do my best to provide that for you in a safe, confidential and supportive space.

As a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to the the BACP Ethical Framework, which you can access here.
